Paisley Heritage Introduces Flexible Donation System for Events

Paisley Heritage is excited to announce a new donation system for our events, following the feedback from our recent community poll. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the 217 participants who shared their valuable insights.

Moving forward, we are transitioning from a fixed charge for events to requesting a minimum donation of £5.00 per participant. Since its inception in 2013, Paisley Heritage—formerly known as 'Paisley Mysteries'—has grown into a vibrant global community of over 32,000 members. Within this close-knit circle of 'Buddies,' we bring the town’s forgotten history to life through shared photographs, videos, and captivating stories. Noteworthy discoveries, such as the concealed Terrace Tavern and the enigmatic Paisley Alien Gargoyle, stand as a testament to our collective journey. Our drone has also beautifully captured the essence within the historic walls of Paisley Abbey and the Coats building.

Looking ahead, our ambition is to establish Paisley Heritage as the tourism hub of our town and as the guardians of its rich history. We are committed to collaborating with local tourism charities and organisations to effectively market Paisley’s unique cultural and historical attractions. By enhancing our programmes and increasing our visibility, we aim to position Paisley as a premier destination for visitors.

Please note that all current events will remain free of charge. The new donation system will apply to future events starting from our next event, which could be before November. Your support is crucial in helping us realise our vision. It enables us to continue offering engaging events and contributes to the broader effort of promoting Paisley’s significance and charm..
