Craig White
Technical Specialist
Craig White is the owner of CJW Media Paisley and White’s Academy of Music. With a passion for music that began at the age of 8, Craig has been playing piano and keyboards for over 43 years. He started performing on stage at just 14 and has continued to captivate audiences with his live performances ever since.
In addition to his performance career, Craig has dedicated many years to teaching keyboards, sharing his expertise and love for music with students of all ages. He holds a background in music and audio engineering, which has further enriched his teaching and performance skills.
Craig’s commitment to the local music scene is evident through his involvement in creating one of Paisley’s first ‘Glee’ style choirs in 2010. Under his guidance, the choir has performed at numerous venues across Renfrewshire and Glasgow, often raising money for charity.
Beyond music, Craig developed an interest in photography and earned a diploma through the Open University. This led to photographing weddings and various events over the years. His passion for visual arts expanded into videography and drone work, culminating in a qualification in drone operations in 2019 with a GVC licence and a CAA operational authorisation for commercial drone work.
A tech enthusiast, Craig has built numerous computers and integrates technology into his daily life, working with all sorts of media. His most recent project involves creating a cover single of a famous song to raise money for the Beatson Cancer Charity and St Vincent’s Hospice, a cause he is particularly passionate about.
Music remains at the core of Craig’s identity, but he thrives in all creative arts. He is delighted to contribute his time to the team at All About Paisley and Paisley Heritage.
Favourite building: My favourite building in Paisley is……SMiSA stadium…no? Ok then, since I live across from it, I’d say the Abbey holds a place in my heart. I look at it every day.
My Wish for Paisley: I would love to see Paisley thrive again, with the local authorities leading a collaborative effort to bring business, and tourism back to the town. As a town centre resident that would be my wish, not looking up the high street at boarded up shops and empty shopping centres.
