Favourite Building: my favourite building is the lovely Russell Institute. My (late) husband used to think it was probably the gatehouse to heaven when he was wee (1960s).

Favourite Historical Story: My favourite story is about the Bungalow Bar, an example of Paisley punching above its weight, circa 1980. The Psychedelic Furs were booked to play and turned up with an artic full of gear that was almost as big as the venue. The indignant lead singer invited the Bungalow's booker out the back for fisticuffs. They weren't the only band to play there in that period on the cusp of global stardom. Someone needs to get a talk together about that!

Wish for Paisley: Like Gayle, my wish for Paisley us for it to regenerate the centre by transcending the normal old rules about shopping and to develop a lively, unique, creative town that looks to the future.
