Jenna Givens

Children's book author Jenna Givens has had a fascination with the Paisley trials of the 17th century since childhood. Jenna portrayed Katherine Campbell, accused Witch in the reenactment of RWH 1697 back in 2012. She then reprised this role just last year at the Sma Shot Halloween Experience. Jenna has years of experience in events. She owns her own children entertainment company M&K Imaginarium. She's recently started her sister Company, a pop-up theatre company.

Jenna is passionate supporter of Sma Shot Cottages.

When not immersed in creative works, Jenna loves nothing more than spending time under a full moon, hugging beautiful trees and dressing from a different era.

Favourite building: For me it has to be Sma Shot Cottages, it's like a home away from home. I always enjoy spending time there, I've been at night when it's dark and I don't find it one bit creepy. Honestly? My dream home 🥰

Favourite historical story: There are so many but it has to be the Paisley Witch Trials of 1697. Although the Origins of the story began in Erskine as we know it. Paisley is haunted by this very part of history alone.

My Wish for Paisley: Naturally in keeping with what I've said already, I'd like a proper Witch trials attraction in Paisley. Even if in part it was somewhat commercialised in the way Salem does it. There would be a real museum of course, a proper one, with commissioned figures of the accused for visuals, but in order to make money for the attraction and for the town we'd want to be pulling in crowds and families with witchy attractions. Sign me up now 😂
